07-10 -- Digitec Welcomes Four More
Budd Riker is anything but a newcomer to eLearning; prior to signing on as Manager of Business Development for Digitec, he spent over 20 years working for PADI Worldwide, the world's largest scuba diver training organization. While there, Budd was instrumental in developing PADI's online diver training system with the help of Digitec's Knowledge Direct Web LMS. Budd is also a college professor and remains an Instructor Examiner for PADI.
Mike Malizola has joined the Digitec Interactive sales team as Account Executive, with over 12 years experience in both corporate training and custom software solutions, encompassing ILT, serious-games-based learning, simulations, digital distribution and social networking. Mike's extensive technical, financial and project management skills make him an ideal partner in taking the client's learning initiatives from early concept to full deployment. Prior to joining Digitec, Mike worked with serious-games developer Distil Interactive, as well as Tampa, Florida's leading eLearning studio, Sparrow Interactive, which provides mission-critical training programs for IBM, AT&T, AOL, and Verizon.
Amy Bassett joins us as a marketing assistant after completing a stint with Jonathan McGrath Construction (no relation to our own Jack McGrath). Amy has been working in marketing for 6 years, focusing primarily on tradeshows and events, public relations and social media marketing. At Digitec she focuses on researching new market opportunities, providing support to sales staff, and increasing the company's brand recognition within our industry.
Lastly, Steven Barnett has just joined us as our Client Liaison. Steven comes to Digitec with nearly 10 years of production experience. During his career he's been an Editor, Producer, Director, Writer, as well as a Programmer and DVD Author. His past clients have included Ron Jon, Disney, the Orlando Magic, Baby Goes Pro, and Rasmussen College.
