Collaborative games

Research shows that introducing competitive gaming can increase learner engagement and retention. These collaborative environments let learners test themselves, build teams and create a challenge.

Digitec's Multiplayer Challenge (MPC) Game Engine is a web-based application where learners can visit the lobby, challenge other individuals and teams using the built-in chat and then compete in an online, real-time quiz game.

The National Consumers League used Digitec's Multiplayer Challenge Game Engine for its high school Lifesmarts program. In this online “brainbowl” competition, teams across the country competed against one another in preparation for a live competition.

Cisco Systems also used the MPC Game Engine for CCNA exam preparation. Digitec hosted the game, which was on Cisco's CCNA web site, where thousands of players competed (and prepared) online.

Got people in different locations? No problem! The engine includes real-time chat, so people can join teams and challenge one another in a real-time, fun, collaborative learning environment.
