08-07 -- Sales eLearning

Orlando, August 2007

One way associations serve their membership is by offering continuing education programs. Increasingly, associations are turning to eLearning to provide a flexible way to assist their members in keeping up with their industry and the latest trends.

Jewelers of America (JA) is a national association for retail jewelers. The “Counter Intelligence” eLearning course is a comprehensive, multimedia, self-study course to educate jewelry sales associates about communication skills, professionalism, ethics and legal compliance.

Digitec converted JA’s existing self-study work book and VHS into an interactive eLearning program. Learners purchase the course online and then take the course using Digitec’s Knowledge Direct® WEB learning, management system.

The course features audio narration, video role-play exercises and interactive games. The five-lesson course was produced entirely using Microsoft PowerPoint and then converted to Flash using Digitec’s Direct-to-WEB rapid elearning development tool.

JA can access web-based reports to view course access, completion scores and student feedback.
