Our team of award-winning writers, instructional designers, graphic artists, Flash animators, audio and video engineers, web developers and computer programmers are focused on developing best-in-class digital media for the 21st century. The Digitec staff has been involved in creating interactive courseware, web applications and multimedia productions since 1988 and are nationally recognized for their innovative learning design and development. Here are a few of their stories…
Jack Sherdel
Jack holds a BS Degree in Aeronautical Engineering. He has more than 35 years of experience in the media production industry.
Jack became Chief Engineer for ODO Studios in NYC seven years before moving to San Juan Puerto Rico. Jack became President and partner of Ochoa Recording Company, Puerto Rico’s largest media production company. Leaving Puerto Rico in 1988, Jack founded Digitec Inc. in Orlando, Florida.
Since 1988, Digitec Inc. has produced television commercials, syndicated television programs, and movies. Since 2000, Jack has launched Digitec’s foray into software development, with the development of applications for sales & marketing and eLearning.
Jack McGrath
Jack is President and Creative Director of Digitec Interactive. For the last fifteen years, he has worked exclusively in digital media, specializing in eLearning. He has been an instructional designer, producer and multimedia developer.
Jack has won several awards, including the Brandon Hall Excellence in Learning award. Jack is also a nationally-recognized speaker on game-based learning and conducted seminars and workshops all across the nation.
He holds a B.A. in English and a Master of Liberal Arts from Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida. He teaches Ancient/Classical and 20th Century Humanities as Distance Learning courses, and has written 24 stage plays, including 15 full productions.
David Womble
David is Vice President and Art Director of Digitec Interactive. Since joining Digitec in 2001, David has been responsible for managing the staff and the artistic vision of Digitec, as well as ensuring a high caliber design for all client projects.
Since 1993, David has designed and developed hundreds of web sites, CD-ROMs, DVDs, kiosks and web applications. He has won multiple awards, including an Ardy for his work with Starwood Vacation Ownership and the Society for Technical Communication’s Distinguished Technical Communication Award, at the international level, for his work with Lockheed Martin.
An avid photographer and sculptor, David graduated from the University of Central Florida with a B.A. in Graphic Arts.
Pam Kelly
Pam contributes more than 20 years experience in education, publishing, technology, marketing and instructional design.
Since joining Digitec in 2003, Pam has directed many award-winning media productions for game-based instructional programs. In addition to eLearning, Pam has also designed web applications for immersive learning experiences.
Before joining the corporate world, Pam was a classroom teacher and also taught at the university level while in graduate school.
She holds a Ph.D. degree in Music Education from the University of Miami and an M.B.A. from the Crummer Graduate School of Business at Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida.
Steve Radley
Steve is our Director of Video Services. He is a Producer, Editor, Graphic Designer, Director, Technician and occasional Videographer for all things video. He has produced content for broadcast television, DVD, web marketing, digital signage, YouTube, and integrated eLearning.
After earning a B.S. in Radio/TV/Film at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh, he started his career in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, editing national and regional commercials for a variety of agency and corporate clients.
Steve joined Digitec in 1997 and has won multiple awards for video editing. Whether working directly with ad agency creative directors or Fortune 500 companies, Steve is an expert in expanding creative ideas and nurturing artistic concepts.
Dick Hofmann
Digitec’s Director of Sales, Dick Hofmann, has a robust background in broadcasting, education, public relations and new media sales, giving him a solid knowledge of Digitec’s core business.
In the 90s, Dick teamed with Jack McGrath to develop some of the first cutting-edge new media projects in the U.S. Dick joined Jack at Digitec in 2004, and is focused on helping customers with their education programs through the creative use of technology, media, and instructional design.
Dick was an assistant professor at the University of Florida and held instructor positions at Michigan State and the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.
Dick’s education includes a B.S. from Iowa State University and a Masters in Telecommunications from Michigan State University.
Jon Fore
Since arriving at Digitec in 2007, Jon has been responsible for the Knowledge Direct application offerings, including new development, ongoing maintenance, and client support. Jon’s responsibilities also include Digitec’s web hosting and internal IT infrastructure.
After serving in the military, Jon began a career in the information technology industry. During this time, Jon focused on infrastructure security, becoming an expert for law enforcement agencies and an expert witness in trial proceedings involving computer crimes. He spent a year serving with the National Infrastructure Security Council, a technological branch of Homeland Security.
Jon is a decorated war veteran, as well as a published photographer and fiction author.
Amy Bassett
Amy serves as Digitec’s official spokesperson and head of marketing, managing everything from web content, to social media, email marketing, contests, public relations, search engine optimization, and exhibition schedules.
Amy plays a vital role in the company’s day to day operations, assisting Digitec’s national sales team with lead generation and sales presentations as well as representing the company at conferences and tradeshows around the country. Since joining Digitec in 2010, Mrs. Bassett has also authored numerous industry white papers and case studies which have appeared in national publications, such as Training Industry.
Amy received a B.A. degree in Economics and Business Administration from Rollins College in Winter Park, FL.
